What to wear on a first date night with 'Sure Guy' *wink*
Hello loviesss,
I got an interesting mail on monday and i decided that over the next 4-5 weeks, i'll do one post a week on how to dress for different stages in your relationship. From first date night - first office lunch with his colleagues - first wedding together - Church/Meet the parents - when you begin shopping for your apartment.... LOL i.e after the proposal In Jesus name :-) *wink* because you can't do all this wahala and he wont propose o...LOL.
Please see below the mail.
Dear Stylefash25
I am a 28 year old chic, a frequent reader of your blog who has recently started dating again after series of heart breaks (thats gist for another day). I have just met this wonderful guy; we have hung out just twice after work . My challenge is he has asked that we go out next week friday for drinks and maybe dancing. As i type this mail, i have no clue on what to wear and i am mad nervous because i haven't been in the dating scene for a while and i am tempted to call and tell him and say i would be traveling for 4 weeks......LOL.
I would love to look stylish, chic and comfortable. Please help!!!!!!
I would also appreciate if you throw in a few tips on how i should act and all.
Dear Y,
Thank you for your email, i couldn't help cracking up at the last line on me throwing in a few tips on how to act on your date. Are you sure you want advise from crazy me??? hehehehe anyways, no worries, we would address that in a bit, lets work from outside in as you know most guys are visual in the beginning.
Your date has told you clearly where he wants to take you, so your job is to dress SUBTLY sexy, flattering your best features but not going over board.
A nice pair of jeans, a bit of glitter here and there, banging heels and a nice purse would work for drinks and dancing if you decide to.
Remember you have to be comfortable and relaxed in your outfit so you aren't tense on the date. You also don't want to keep tugging and pushing anything in :-)
I have put together a collage and also some pictures of myself wearing similar outfits so you can see how it would look on you.
Regarding how to act, my dear just DO YOU, BE YOU, Pray and just enjoy yourself and leave the rest to God jare. Ask questions where you need to, listen a lot and take it all in.
All the best lovie and hope to hear how it went.
Thanks for always reading lovies.
xoxo.
